MICROMAN 2006 - ASSASSINS VS XADO
Takara begin 2006 for the core Microman
line with two new series in April. There are total of six new figures,
three for Microman side and three for Acroyear side. Microman series are
called the Assassins Force and are based on last year Microman Falcon
Assassin Force concept. Acroyear series are called XADO (in keeping with
the letter "x" theme). XADO is a pun on Japanese word "jado" which
roughly translates to evil way or evil path. Both XADO and Assassins
Force are the first Microman 200X to have all Japanese names and are
heavily influenced by Japanese theme and designs.

		XADO
Acroyear XADO consist of AX-41 AcroHidou,
AX-42 AcroMuzan and AL-41 AcroSuzetna. (Acrolady follow their own
designation, unlike Microman side). All three Acroyears have Japanese
motif with Japanese kana (letters) inscribed all over their bodies. The
XADO, like the Assassin Force, follow the same design theme as last year
2-pack, Falcon & Manon where each figure only come with nominal amount
of accessories.  However, while the accessories are limited in
number, they are very well design and each set has numerous 3mm ports
that allow for some nice interchangeable with either accessories from
these series or from other Microman series.  This show that Microman figures do not need to be busy
looking and loaded with accessories to be interesting.

		MUZAN
Acroyear XADO AX-42 AcroMuzan is one of
the right hand man of AcroHidou. He also disguise himself as "Microman"
and comes with alternate humanoid head. AcroMuzan is a clear emerald
green "Massive Type" Microman Full Action body. He is only the second
figure in core Microman line to use the Massive Body Type. AcroMuzan's
armor theme is medieval Japanese "kabuto" armor with centipede motif
mixed in. Muzan is probably the most striking looking of the new series.
His green and gold chromed trim armor along with his large saber are
awesome designs. The armor fits well to the body, but the shoulder
pieces make the articulations somewhat limited. The only problem is his
large sword, which tend to not stay in place when mount on top of his
helmet.  Overall, the figure is awesome and is highly recommended.
It appears at least for these two series, Takara has finally address the
		recent quality control problems.
