the clone wars series 3
star wars the clone wars makes the return with all new series 3 in 2010. the card back for series 3 is mostly blue background but they retains same look as last series with character artwork in the corner and trapezoid shape die-cut. hasbro has also added collectible card and die that can be used in galactic battle game to each figure as a bonus.
this year focus is on the aliens notably the bounty hunters and the mandalorian. even young boba fett makes an appearance as action figure in the third series. for the fan of the clones, there are still plenty of them and hasbro made a point of including at least one clone in each assortment wave.
hasbro also reissues several of the series 1 and series 2 figures on this new card back (and of course they include the new collectible card and dice for the galactic battle game). there is a new mail-away offer for sgt. bric figure that comes with play-mat for the game. toys r us get two exclusive figures kul teska and nikto guard along with ultimate battle packs - the rise of boba fett that include new slave-1 and jedi starfighter. target has several exclusive 2-pack this year including senate commandos, and arf waxer along with special ops clone.
hasbro also release several of the smaller vehicle set as part of the deluxe series of figures. this year the theme is figure and vehicle set, so each one is pack with a new figure along with small vehicle. the battle packs also make the return that depicted scenes from the tv shows. |
