MASKED RIDER KUUGA ULTIMATE FORM

Kamen Rider Kuuga Set No. 6 Kuuga Ultimate Form was released by Bandai in October of 2000. The set included the armor set for the final form of Kuuga, his Ultimate Form. The set came with his three Rising weapons also in Ultimate Mode. (Lance from Rising Dragon Form, Crossbow from Rising Pegasus Form and Sword from Rising Titan Form). The Ultimate Form was the last Souchaku-Henshin Kuuga released by Bandai Japan. A year later Bandai-Asia later reissued SHS Kuuga for Hong Kong market with most of the set broken up into single unit and strip to bare minimum with the "extras" (stand, additional weapons etc.) removed from the set. Bandai-Asia also produced Hong Kong exclusive Kuuga Amazing Form Set that was never produced by Bandai Japan.

Kuuga Ultimate Form is probably the most striking looking of all the multiple forms that Kuuga has. The chest armor and the belt were the only die-cast armor parts with the rest made from PVC and ABS plastic. The paint job was nicely done for the most part especially considering all the small fine lines that ran all over his body armor. I have to say this is probably my favorite SH Kuuga figure.

Bandai released Kuuga Ultimate Form as Chogokin SHS GD-29. The set was packaged in long box with clear window to showcase all the accessories.

 

 HK EDITION

Bandai-Asia later reissued Ultimate Form for Hong Kong market in 2001 but with all the extra stuff  (like the figure stand and weapons) removed to lower the price point. Another notable note was the HK version of Ultimate Form Kuuga, the armors were done with matt finish (show accurate) instead of the glossy finish of Japan version.

Naked Mode

SH Kuuga came with core body that was slightly modified for the Ultimate Form. Like other SH Riders figures, the head look out of proportion and the body was solely intended for display with the "cloth" (Rider's Armor) on. The core body was similar style body used since the original Saint Seiya Cloth line which made it a little dated by today standard. However, this was one of the aspect that drawn me to this line. The ability to "henshin" into the Rider form made these SH figures a lot like small version of Henshin Cyborg and RAH costume hero.

Weapon Accessories

Ultimate Form Set No. 6 came with the Ultimate version of his three Rising weapons.

BONUS BAD GUY

Kuuga Set No. 6 included plastic figure of Grongi Kaijin Go-Gadaru-Ba in the same scale as SH figure. (5")
