KUUGA AMAZING MIGHTY FORM A year later after Bandai (Japan) released Chogokin Souchaku Henshin Kuuga series, Bandai-Asia reissued the toys for Hong Kong market. Hong Kong editions of SH Kuuga Series had most of the set broken up into single unit and strip to bare minimum with the "extras" (stand, additional weapons etc.) removed from the set. However, when Bandai-Asia reissued SH Kuuga Series, they also produced Hong Kong exclusive Kuuga in Amazing Mighty Form Set that was never produced by Bandai Japan. The figure was later imported back to Japan as Chogokin GD-33. Kuuga Amazing Mighty Form appeared in end episode where Kuuga with lighting power turn into Amazing Mighty Form to fight the Destroyer. This form was essentially a black version of the Rising Mighty Form armor. The armor pieces were painted in matt black finished and look very nice. (Bandai Asia also released Ultimate Form in this same matt black instead of the glossy finished found on original Japan version) |
Unmasked Mode SH Kuuga came with core body that was slightly modified for the Ultimate Form. Like other SH Riders figures, the head look out of proportion and the body was solely intended for display with the "cloth" (Rider's armors) on. The core body was similar style body used since the original Saint Seiya Cloth line which made it a little dated by today standard. However, this was one of the aspect that drawn me to this line. The ability to "henshin" into Masked Rider made these SH figures a lot like small version of Henshin Cyborg and RAH costume hero. Weapon Accessories As with most of the HK releases, SH Kuuga Amazing Mighty was pretty barebones. The figure came with no extra accessories beside the armor pieces. |
